During times that you break up with a person you love, you’ll typically have tons of painful emotions.  You’ll feel upset, hurt, jealousy, hate…

"What should I do to get my ex back?" is something you start thinking to yourself over and over.

There are boat loads of resources on the web, in book stores, and on forums that you could probably get all your questions answered about how you should get your ex back.  But the biggest thing that can help you right now is common sense.  It can really make a huge difference when you’ve broken up with someone and you’re asking yourself "What should I do to get my ex back?"  The bottom line is, just being nice can go a long way toward making your relationship work again.

If you’re mind is racing and you’re asking others "what should I do to get my ex back?" then you should abide by this advice.

Whatever you do don’t mess around and play games.  It’s important but lots of people do this during a break up.  It’s because it gives them a feeling of power and control.  If you make your ex feel like you don’t care, or that you care more than you really do, then you’re just using "tactics" that make you feel good.  But it won’t be for long.  

You’ll figure out that doing things that mislead your ex isn’t good.  And anything you think is good that came from it will probably turn sour.

Many people have even pretended to be dating another person or faked being in love with someone else.  It was just a game to make the ex want them back.  Keep in mind that this behavior usually backfires.

You don’t know what they’re going to think when you do stuff like that.  You don’t know what kind of reaction it’s going to spawn.  The bottom line is don’t do anything you don’t mean.  Stay true to yourself and don’t lie.

Also, if you expect to get back with your ex you shouldn’t be mean.  Even if they hurt you and you feel horrible.  You should treat them like a person and with respect.  You may still be wondering "How do I get my ex back?" but you should take the high road and just deal with your feelings like a grown up.  If you don’t you may never get your ex back.

The bottom line is to always be on your best behavior.  In the end whether you get back with your ex or not if you were civil and respectful they will remember you for it.  It may even be that little kick that brings them back to you.
